Position Overview $21/hr DOE, Contract to Hire, Vista CA
We are seeking an experienced Solder Technician to support the assembly of cable and wire harness products. The ideal candidate will have strong hand-soldering skills, experience working with cables, wires, and connectors, and the ability to interpret assembly drawings and wiring diagrams with minimal supervision. This role is hands-on and critical to ensuring high-quality builds for production.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Perform hand soldering of wires, terminals, connectors, and small electronic components.
  
• 
  Perform crimping, stripping, tinning, and splicing of wires and cables using hand tools and equipment.
  
• 
  Inspect solder joints and cable assemblies to ensure compliance with workmanship standards (IPC).
  
• 
  Follow production travelers, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and detailed assembly instructions.
  
• 
  Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhear to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 
  1+ years recent experience in soldering and cable/wire harness
  
• 
  Proficient with hand tools: crimpers, strippers, tweezers, soldering irons, torque tools, etc. (prefered)
  
• 
  Able to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly documentation.
  
• 
  knowledge of IPC-610 or IPC-620 is a strong plus.
  
• 
  Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  
• 
  Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
