()The Federal Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation, coordination and management of project financial models and cost tracking for QTS Federal construction projects. This individual functions as the bridge between our sales, construction, delivery and security project teams. This role supports the pricing, budgeting and cost tracking relating to the construction of new facilities for QTS Federal. The Federal Financial Analyst may also support other financial analyses for QTS Federal beyond construction projects.RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.Partner with business partners in the development and estimation of anticipated project spend.Track planned vs project spend throughout the project delivery process, including change orders and modifications.Perform projections and analysis of budgeted vs actual variances for construction projects.Reconcile final project costs with business partners to create a comprehensive cost model for customer presentation and approval.Maintain good internal controls and policies based on contract requirements, accounting / financial standards, and procurement processes.Support financial analysis and reporting requests from many different levels of QTS Federal leadership.Partner with cross-functional teams on integrations with operations and financial systems.Design, develop, and maintain standardized process documentation for area of responsibility.Proactively identify areas for improvement while establishing and maintaining effective controls over the financial tracking processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of reported financial information.Other duties as assignedBASIC QUALIFICATIONSIntermediate / Advanced Excel experience with an ability to both build financial models and operate existing QTS financial models.Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Finance, Business, or related field.3+ years experience in Finance, Construction Project and / or budget tracking experience.High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Proven experience providing financial and analytical support to cross-functional teams.US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with applications such as Salesforce, Workday, E-builder, and Procore.Consulting, Proposal Pricing, Estimation and / or Budgeting experience .Experience with data manipulation, reporting, and visualization through use of Business Intelligence (BI) softwareKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to organize, interpret, analyze, and draw appropriate conclusions from large volumes of data and to creatively present the information in a manner that enables non-financial managers to easily understand the information.Self-motivated individual eager to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional multi-tasking, scheduling and time management skills.Unrelenting drive for problem solving and process efficiency through simplification and automation.Self-Starter - Work with a high level of independent capability and initiative, relying on knowledge skills and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.TOTAL REWARDSThis role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes : medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending and HSA accounts; paid holidays; paid time off; paid volunteer days; employee assistance program; tuition assistance; parental leave; military leave assistance; QTS scholarship for dependents; wellness program, and other company benefits.This position is bonus eligible.In accordance with applicable law, the following represents a reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado.
