Job descriptionProvide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or irregularities to Allied Universal management and / or client representatives. Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and members of the public while performing assigned duties. Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any maintenance issues encountered during patrols. Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner. Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree. An armed guard card or license is required for this position. Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
