We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and mission-driven Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy to lead our engagement with federal policymakers, regulatory agencies, advocacy agencies, and industry stakeholders, as well as ensure alignment with our state government affairs team. This role is responsible for shaping public policy, developing access and reimbursement opportunities, and advancing legislative and regulatory priorities that align with GeneDx mission and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the company's federal government relations and public policy strategy that aligns with the business goals
- Monitor, analyze and influence federal legislation and regulatory developments affecting genetic testing, precision medicine, access, reimbursement, privacy, and data use.
- Represent the company in Washington, D.C., including participation in coalitions, trade associations, and public hearings.
- Build and maintain strong bipartisan relationships with key policymakers and staff, as well as key external stakeholders
