For more information, visit https : / / www.jbpoindexter.com / . POSITION SUMMARY : The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for achieving annual sales goals and objectives for the business. Key Duties & Responsibilities :
- Lead the company's sales initiatives to grow revenues and strengthen its market leadership
- Establish and implement short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures
- Manage the preparation and execution of the annual sales business plans and budgets
- Effectively manage the organization's dealer partners in achievement of share gain and sales targets
- Identify product and customer needs.
- Identify, qualify, and develop new and existing customer opportunities
- Create business models, analyzing financial and environmental risks
- Manage market share with major customer classes
- Reconcile escalated customer issues
- All other duties as assigned Expertise Required / Minimum Qualifications :
- 15+ years of experience in sales, ideally working for a manufacturer selling big ticket capital equipment through dealer channels, as well as direct sales to strategic accounts.
- Experience in commercial / specialty transportation related sales strongly preferred
- Team-oriented, collaborative style which fosters an open and transparent culture built on respect for people and the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical performance
- A track record of success in managing, mentoring, coaching and directing team members
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience with Lean / TPS strongly preferred
