AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Federal Project Manager for immediate employment in our Central Civil Works Department. In this role you will help manage our flood risk management design and construction projects for USACE USIBWC NRCS and other federal and sometimes nonfederal entities. Our team has a passion for making a positive impact on community safety and developing solutions for the technical challenges these projects bring. Our projects include assessment inspections alternatives analysis design and construction of dams locks levees floodwalls floodgates stormwater pump stations riverbank and coastal erosion mitigation ecosystem restoration sediment diversion wetland creation and other related hydraulic projects. You will help us as we continue to build a Federal Project Management team in order to more effectively provide our federal clients with exceptional service.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following :
- Manages all phases of projects (from proposal to closeout).
- Prepares project work plan scope schedule and budget and communicates these to project team members; monitors / manages project production for compliance with schedule budget and quality objectives.
- Strictly adheres to AECOM and federal / client quality control and safety planning and requirements.
- Strictly adheres to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Develops detailed subcontractor scopes and bid sheets and follows the FAR in subcontractor selection process.
- Makes sound wellinformed and objective decisions with a strong understanding of the impact and implications of decisions.
- Identify mitigate and manage project risks.
- Advises / mentors less experienced staff on project management skills and mentors staff interested in project management as their Deputy Project Managers.
- Oversees design staff and team members for civil works flood risk reduction and CSRM projects in completion of alternatives analysis value engineering plans specifications Design Documentation Reports and Opinions of Probable Cost.
- Identifies new business opportunities for AECOM coordinates and participates in project presentations to clients and other external groups promotes AECOMs capabilities marketing its services among existing and prospective clients and assists in the technical write ups and strategies for TORN responses and Statements of Qualifications for MATOC / SATOC / IDIQ / IDC pursuits.
- Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors and drafts complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management.
- Monitors and reports financial status of projects to upper management.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
