We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Architect for Federal Projects to join our Denver CO, Alexandria, VA, West Coast office.

How will you contribute to the team?
Extensive knowledge with the delivery of design and construction projects on DOD & DOE facility, laboratory, and federal campus infrastructure projects.
In depth Knowledge of federal design standards and delivery process.
Ability to lead, mentor and develop design teams in the process of Federally contracted projects.
Additional science and technology and / or federal agency experience including federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs), GSA, and DOS a plus.
Define scope of project, with full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating project assignments.
Conduct quality control checks, reviewing calculations, designs, specifications and construction documents for accuracy and completeness, and performing on-site review of projects under construction to ensure aesthetic value and quality is consistent with contract documents and design intent.
Provide Leadership of architectural design staff, and multi-disciplinary coordination across nationwide practice.
Serve as the Design Manager responsible for the oversight, management and leadership of large complex projects and large design team inclusive of multiple design subconsultants.
Exhibit outgoing personality, strong interpersonal skills.
Support New Business Development activities as required.
Participate in project planning for scope, time, fee projections, and completion estimates.
Analyse cost implications and returns for project strategies.
Prepare and articulate project goals and strategies.
Lead and support project technical activities.
Advocate on behalf of the practice – posts, speaking engagements, conference attendance, etc.
Interface with global counterparts to share knowledge and expertise.
Assist with project scheduling, and the coordination and tracking of project submittals.
Prepare permit applications for regulatory agency review and approval.
Provide technical writing and editing support.
Coordinate design production in accordance with specifications and regulatory policies.
Conduct analyses and prepare technical studies and reports.
Coordinate the work of consultants or other employees involved in project development.
Report to the studio Architectural Leader.
What will you contribute?
Bachelor’s degree in architecture required, master’s degree in architecture or graduate level technical coursework desirable.
RA (Registered Architect) License with the ability to obtain additional Licenses when required.
10 years minimum experience, 15+ years preferred.
US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE, GSA, DOS or DoD Security Clearance are required for project work.
Strong technical writing and communication skills are expected at this level, proven through technical presentations, technical papers and / or participation in technical committees. May be eligible for project management training.
Travel 10% - 50% (variable).
