We are conducting electric meter upgrades in the Denver, Colorado area for Xcel Energy and are hiring Electric Meter Installers / Technicians ! NO EXPERIENCE is required with paid training! If you consider yourself an independent worker and enjoy being outside, this job is for you!

Project is expected to end August 31, 2025

All of our field staff are provided with :

Safety gear including company boot (allowance), vests, glasses, etc.
Paid Training at $24.93 / hour
Company provided vehicle

Responsibilities :

This position is responsible for installing single phase electric meters by replacing an existing meter (change-out). The new meter and meter module are installed to automate the process of reading a meter for accurate consumption and billing.

Requirements :

Valid driver’s license

Must be able to walk up to 10-15 miles per day, outdoors in all-weather environments

Ability to perform physical duties such as lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. of force unassisted.

Working Conditions and Hours :

M-Th 7 : 00am - 5 : 30pm, occasional Friday's

After the initial classroom training and field training totaling four weeks paid at $24.93 / hour , employees will be transitioned to being paid on a piece work basis which allows most of our employees to earn in excess of $25 / hour .

Outdoor work environment

Normal working hours are daylight hours; limited work hours on weekends except for periodic on-call duty and mass workloads

Little supervision to give you freedom to work independently and manage your own day

Knowledge and Abilities :

Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests (Meterpro)

Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters
