INDUSTRIAL FIELD ENGINEER
The primary role of the Field Engineer is to assist the onsite Superintendent and / or Foreman with a variety of tasks in support of project execution. In this role, the Field Engineer will learn foundational principles and processes of building construction which will serve as a gateway to a career path in either Field Operations or Project Management.

Required
- Associate's degree in Construction Management or related field experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Construction Fundamentals : Demonstrates working knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and sequencing. Understands basic surveying, layout, and constructability principles. Applies foundational knowledge of safety standards and jobsite protocols
Project Documentation & Controls : Accurately supports quantity tracking, material inventory, and daily logs. Assists with preparation and tracking of RFIs, submittals, and as-built documentation. Maintains organized, accurate, and timely project records
Field Coordination & Support : Supports coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries. Assists Superintendent and Foreman with daily jobsite activities and issue resolution. Participates effectively in coordination meetings and jobsite communications
Safety & Risk Awareness : Demonstrates understanding of OSHA standards and company safety requirements. Conducts site safety audits and actively participates in safety meetings. Identifies and escalates potential safety risks in a timely manner
Technology & Tools : Effectively uses Microsoft Office Suite and project-related software. Learns and applies company systems, tools, and field technology. Uses technology to improve accuracy, efficiency, and communication

Jobsite Accuracy & Reliability : Quantity tracking, inventory records, and daily logs are accurate and completed on time.
Documentation errors are minimal and promptly corrected when identified
Project Support Effectiveness : Superintendents and Foremen can rely on the Field Engineer for consistent, high-quality support. Materials, tools, and information are available when needed to support field operations
Safety Performance : Actively contributes to a safe jobsite culture. Participate in safety audits and meetings with preparation and engagement. Demonstrates compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Communication & Collaboration : Communicates clearly, professionally, and timely with internal teams and trade partners. Effectively follows direction and seeks clarification when needed. Builds positive working relationships across jobsite stakeholders

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee's workstation and during meetings as well as while traveling, either by plane or car. Employee needs to be able to lift to 50 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.
Employee will be required to visit construction jobsites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.
