Field Coordinator
As a Field Coordinator, you will be a vital member of our team, responsible for overseeing and managing all field-related activities to ensure the successful execution of league events. Your primary role will be to coordinate field setup and teardown, manage game day operations, address issues as they arise, maintain player and spectator safety, and uphold league rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of sports event management, effective communication skills, and the ability to cultivate positive interactions with stakeholders. Field Coordinators must demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and the capability to handle challenges efficiently within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee all facets of game day operations, including problem resolution and ensuring seamless event flow.
Participate in regular meetings to review league logistics and communicate updates to league management.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of league rules and regulations to enforce fair play during games.
Collaborate closely with league management to address emergent issues and facilitate open communication channels.
Transport equipment to and from the field, such as field markers, goalposts, supplies, and game materials.
Coordinate field setup and teardown, ensuring the proper arrangement of equipment and maintaining field cleanliness.
Engage with coaches, families, and officials to provide support and foster positive relationships within the league community.
Supervise game proceedings and ensure adherence to scheduled timelines in accordance with league guidelines.
Manage conflicts among spectators, parents, coaches, players, and officials in a professional and efficient manner.
Uphold organizational standards by enforcing league rules, guidelines, and expectations consistently.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on league schedules.
Possess reliable transportation to transport light equipment to and from field locations.
Replenish game day supplies regularly and liaise with league management to manage inventory effectively. This includes travel to the office for pick up outside of a weekend field day.
Arrive at the field at least 1 hour before the first practice and stay 30 minutes after the last game, ensuring field cleanliness and organization.
Attend Coaches and Referee meetings for assigned location.
Maintain responsiveness across communication platforms and oversee league merchandise.
Manage transaction records accurately, including sales, inventory, and financial reporting tools.
Log field staff hours, patron complaints, needs or issues to be reported weekly.
Take pictures of players and games to be used on social media.
Coordinate distribution and collection of scorecards, field assignments for referees, and ensure smooth officiating processes during games.
