Job descriptionHigh school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Extensive knowledge of and experience with OSP and ISP telecommunications engineering standards, construction techniques, and blueprints. Ability to work in a confined space and at high elevations (poles, hydraulic lift buckets, ladders. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed. Ability to apply logical and mathematical principles and thinking to solve problems and make decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Earth. Ability to edit documents and upload files into proprietary software. Your New Job
Job Summary :
The Field Inspector performs field inspections of cable / fiber placement, cable / fiber splicing, and telecommunications construction work on customer job sites.
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to) :
- Travel (daily) to assigned locations and conduct site inspections.
- Inspect telecommunication cables and the work of field personnel and / or contractors / sub-contractors.
- Documentation and reporting of field results.
- Attend field meetings with field personnel as well as government agencies and construction contractors.
- Operate and maintain field equipment and tools such as laptop, iPad, height stick, camera, personal protective equipment (PPE), etc.
- May perform invoicing and manage work orders for subcontractor work.
- Other duties as assigned.
