FIELD OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN (aka COnstrucion Printer Operator)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate Apis Cor’s construction 3D printer and print houses!
Be the extreme owner of the robotic hardware on construction sites, owning the full lifecycle of the housing build. This may include, offloading the printers and equipment, setting up the printer, operating the printing, monitoring the print, cleaning the equipment, coordinating construction activities around the printer.
Ensure the equipment runs smoothly through troubleshooting, in-field repairs, and maintenance servicing.
Provide feedback to the engineering team on how to improve the products to be safer, more reliable, and quicker.
Upload G-code to the printer and set up proper print locations on the slab to ensure the printed walls meet construction standards.
Mechanically assemble and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies, harnesses, electrical panels, and other components.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
2+ years of testing experience in a manufacturing, integration, robotics, or military environment.
Experience using hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
Able to read and understand construction drawings / schematics.
Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings / schematics.
Experience running electrical, structural or pressure tests on components and systems.
Experience using computer-based data analysis software to troubleshoot issues and experience utilizing computer based GUIs.
Basic knowledge of electronics, including harness wiring, soldering, motors, and other standard rack equipment.
Understanding and experience with 3D printing technologies, including G-code, 3D printers, CNC machinery, water jets, laser cutters, and other 3-axis robotic machinery.
Experience operating heavy machinery, including forklifts and other common construction equipment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Flexibility to work all scheduled shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as necessary. Standard work hours for the 1st shift are from 9 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM.
Ability to frequently travel to different sites to support prints.
Ability to execute repetitive assembly tasks, including activities such as standing for long periods of time, lifting, bending, pulling / pushing, and working at heights.
Ability to work in outdoor environments during print operations
