Field service technician Jobs in Plano, TX

Our client is looking for Field Technicians to support Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC controls work across service calls and active projects. This is a hands-on field role focused on programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting building automation systems while working closely with project managers and clients. The position involves working with DDC controllers, low-voltage systems, control graphics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans, with exposure to platforms such as Niagara, Distech, JCI, ABB, Honeywell, and similar systems.

This role is ideal for technicians with a minimum of two years of full-time HVAC controls experience who are comfortable working in the field and interacting with clients. Candidates should have experience with DDC or PLC-based programming, system diagnostics, and commissioning, not just wiring. The team places a strong emphasis on culture, coachability, and problem-solving ability, and they are open to training the right individual who is sharp, professional, and willing to learn. Technicians with 2-5 years of experience will be considered for a standard technician role, while those with 5+ years may step into a senior or project technician position. This is a true field-based role with minimal desk work, strong growth potential, and an expedited one-step interview process.
