We work with small-scale challenges that will make a significant impact to the customer. We design, develop, and support the production life-cycle of electromagnetic grids and thin film coatings for various optical systems. It is our responsibility to evaluate and measure the performance of the resulting grids and coatings. If you enjoy understanding how a production process influences an end product, fast-paced work environment and working on a wide range of equipment, this opportunity will be an exciting role for you!
The responsibilities include but not limited to :
Support manufacturing processes of optics, with an emphasis on photolithography and thin film coatings.
Define the parameters of equipment for the processes and define the maintenance items for supporting the equipment for product sustainment.
Perform characterization of the deposited coatings and analyze data.
Provide technical guidance to operators and effectively communicate the processes in work instructions. Develop and manage work instructions.
Apply lean manufacturing techniques and be expected to support as Team Leader of SIA / Kaizen events.
Investigate defective hardware and provide next steps to get the hardware back into production and implement corrective actions that will prevent defect from occurring.
Lead non-recurring efforts. This includes delegating tasks to other team members, expected to design and develop grid and / or coatings per engineering requirements.
