Reporting to: Vice President Finance and Operations
Direct Reports: The Finance Department consisting of Senior Accountant, Accounting Analyst and Systems Coordinator
To manage the US Finance function, ensuring smooth day to day operations, preparation of monthly and annual financial information, including actuals, forecasts and budgets; to manage and control working capital levels.
Accounting and Finance Experience 5 -10 years' experience in a mid to senior level accounting position. CPA preferred. Thorough knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis. Experience with sales tax preferred Exposure to foreign currency working in a multi-currency environment desirable. Experience with SAP (Business One) would be advantageous, but not essential. Literacy in computer-based applications such as Microsoft Office. Must be able to demonstrate intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Experience of working in a manufacturing, warehouse and/or consumer hard goods environment beneficial.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Personal Traits High level of initiative. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality. Must be able to organize and prioritize with strong project management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a pre-requisite. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
