Job Description
You will be the Director of Financial Reporting for North America Experian Corporate Finance. You will report to the SVP Controller, and lead a team, develop talent, and cultivate an inclusive environment. This is a hybrid position, working from our North America Headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA.
- Design and implement comprehensive internal controls across all accounting areas, including revenue recognition, inventory management, cash handling, and fixed assets.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential control weaknesses and develop mitigation plans.
- Monitor adherence to internal controls through periodic reviews, audits, and testing procedures.
- Investigate and address any control deficiencies promptly.
- Lead on multiple technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, lease accounting, capitalization of software, asset impairment and purchase accounting.
- Lead UK SOX implementation in North America.
- Create new accounting policies and manage compliance with existing policies.
- Lead internal and external audits partnering with several departments.
- Prepare financial statements and apply consolidation rules
- Manage acquisition and integrations with multiple teams.
- Review complex account reconciliations.
- Evaluate monthly operating cash flow.
- Lead several ad hoc projects including system implementations.
- Partner with the leadership team of all Corp functions and departments on critical financial accounting matters.
