Position Summary :
A growing healthcare organization is seeking a seasoned Director of Finance to oversee financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities. This individual will play a key leadership role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to drive strategic decision-making and support operational performance across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in healthcare finance, including revenue cycle management (RCM) and payer contracting, to help optimize reimbursement and ensure financial alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Act as a strategic partner to senior finance leadership across all business entities
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning processes
- Own GAAP revenue modeling and post monthly revenue journal entries
- Support development and implementation of organization-wide analytics tools
- Build financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives and provide actionable insights
- Track and report on key business trends, drivers, and financial KPIs
- Lead physician compensation planning and analysis
- Collaborate across FP&A, Accounting, and RCM teams to align financial reporting with collections and revenue recognition
- Revenue Cycle & Payer Contracting
- Leverage expertise in RCM processes (coding, billing, collections) to evaluate financial performance
- Partner with RCM team to assess payer agreements and support rate negotiations
- Analyze payer mix, reimbursement structures, and contract performance to improve revenue outcomes
- Accounting & Compliance
- Collaborate with finance, tax, operations, and IT teams to support monthly close and financial reviews
- Ensure revenue recognition aligns with GAAP standards and payer arrangements
- Support audits, tax preparation, and banking relationships in partnership with the Corporate Controller
- Ensure financial processes comply with relevant regulations and internal controls
- Leadership & Team Development
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals
- Foster a culture of financial discipline, transparency, and continuous improvement
