Financial controller Jobs in Longmont, CO

This position is responsible for the accounting of the company including the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk.

The Controller is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Management

• Maintain and apply a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Oversee payroll / Invoicing / Fixed Assets
• Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
• Review and analyze CapEx projects (Budget / Actual / Forecast)
• Understand manufacturing batch processes and related costing
• Manage outsourced functions and services
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an effective organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
• Oversee the accounting operations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures
• Working with the FPA group, issue timely and complete financial statements
• Involvement with the monthly financial reporting package including variance reporting and insights into the results
• Coordinate the preparation of the annual report
• Provide financial analyses as needed
• Assist CFO with cash forecasting information - weekly, 13-week and full year
• Inventory costing and roll forward using ERP system
