The Position :

The Controller will serve as a liaison to provide excellent customer service to all business leaders, employees, customers, and vendors / subcontractors, regarding all accounting functions. This position is responsible for the oversight and day-to-day supervision of the accounting department.

The Expectation :

• Oversee and execute all aspects of accounting for growing SaaS company (i.e., billing, financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and various special analyses)
• Lead the monthly close process
• Complete general ledger and bank reconciliations
• Assist with budgets and preparation of the financial package
• Think independently and outside the box to solve problems or situations as they arise
• Contribute to building and designing scalable, highly automated accounting and finance systems and procedures, including controls, documentation, and training.
• Maintain the required level of technical knowledge, keep abreast of current developments in accounting, and process improvement technology
• Maintain independent auditor relationships and coordinate audit engagements with oversight from the CFO
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements, including income and sales / use tax
• Develop and mentor the accounting team, ensuring high quality and efficient execution of duties and growth in their skills over time
