Position Overview for the Corporate Financial Controller :
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Corporate Financial Controller to lead the financial operations of our regional office in Charleston, SC . This role is instrumental in implementing accounting policies, financial reporting, and operational efficiencies , while working closely with executive leadership and corporate finance . The ideal candidate must be a roll-up-your-sleeves leader , willing to dive into the details of day-to-day financial accounting while also supporting high-level strategic initiatives. This role includes managing one Senior Accountant as a direct report.
Key Responsibilities for the Corporate Financial Controller :
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Oversee daily financial operations , including cash flow management and general accounting functions.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes , ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external deadlines.
- Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements for the CFO, Advisory Committee, and Board of Directors .
- Collaborate with corporate accounting on audit, financial reporting, and tax compliance (federal, state, county, and city).
- Support the CFO and CEO in providing financial analysis and reporting for Board and Advisory Council meetings.
