Description
JOB SUMMARY
This role will serve as the strategic lead account planner within the Brand Strategy and Activation team, as part of our innovative in-house agency. The Sr. Account Planner in our environment is multifaceted, combining analytical prowess with creative insight to help fuel successful marketing efforts. The Account Planner will play a crucial role in understanding the business, the consumer and / or customer, and the market to inform and develop insights and strategies that fuel powerful campaigns and deliver exceptional results. This role requires a blend of analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, and strong communication skills.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner collaboration – Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners in order to understand and interpret business objectives and market needs into actionable insights and direction.
- Consumer insights – Use research research and analysis to uncover valuable, actionable insights around consumer behavior, preferences, and motivations.
- Competitive analysis – Conduct analyses of competitors’ marketing strategies, messaging tactics, and industry positioning to identify gaps and opportunities for differentiation.
- Trend forecasting – Proactively monitor cultural, social, and industry trends to anticipate shifts in consumer behavior and inform proactive campaign strategies. Regularly share learning and insights with internal teams and leadership to foster innovation, objective decision making, and continuous improvement.
- Strategy development – Develop innovative and data-driven strategies to resonate with target audiences and drive desired outcomes. Translate consumer insights into actionable recommendations for creative development and campaign execution.
- Creative briefing – Lead the development of clear and compelling briefs that connect strategic objectives to target audience insights and campaign messaging. Provide guidance and feedback throughout the creative development process to ensure alignment with brief’s insight.
- Message development – Collaborate with creative teams to develop and / or refine messaging frameworks, brand positioning statements, and campaign concept ideas that resonate with target audiences, and oversee concept testing as relevant, to validate messaging meets the desired objective.
- Engaging presentations – Prepare and deliver presentations to leadership and partners to effectively communicate strategic insights and recommendations, and serve as a trusted advisor to partners, offering guidance and actionable insights to drive business success.
