Location : Austin, TX
Position : Designer – Fire Protection Team
Tesla Gigafactory Texas is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented designer to join our Fire Protection team in Austin, TX. Our design team is dedicated to creating the factory of the future by overseeing the design of cutting-edge, large-scale equipment and utility systems that support innovative manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities :
Collaborate with the Fire Protection Team to prepare designs, hydraulic calculations, stocklisting, and installation drawings.
Manage multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines.
Produce 3D construction drawings and 3D models for various types of fire suppression and life safety systems using Revit, HydraCAD, HydraCALC, and Navisworks.
Lead in-field design validation and the preparation of as-built drawings.
Maintain project drawing files, associated records, and documentation.
Develop Revit families, standard details, and manage BIM files.
Requirements :
Minimum of 4 years of experience in fire sprinkler design.
NICET certification for water-based fire protection systems layout.
Proficiency in 3D software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
Experience with HydraCAD and HydraCALC.
