Sunstates Security is currently hiring Flex Security Officers for the Indianapolis, IN area. All shifts and days are available. This position offers a starting pay of $18.50 / hr with weekly pay.

Benefits : All qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) that work 20 hours a week (minimum of 500 hours per year or more worked) and have completed six months of service with Sunstates Security.

Requirements :

• Must have reliable transportation.
• One year of experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
• Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance.
• Exceptional report writing skills.
• Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility.
• Able to work independently.
• Read and understand written instruction and communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise written form.

Flex Officer Explanation

The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company's operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

Scheduling Expectations

The scheduling parameters and expectations for a flex officer are different from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post. As a flex :

For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. If you refuse more than 20% of shifts for which you are called in, this could negatively impact your employment status with the company.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
