PAY RATE : $13.05 / hour (up to 600 hours per year)
Eligible part-time employees will receive up to a $5.75 per hour retention bonus for all hours worked from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Additionally, eligible seasonal employees will receive a $0.60 per hour seasonal bonus for all hours worked. Click here for details.
Public Safety Attendants must be 18 years in age or older.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES : Work activities in this position primarily involve providing information to the public; prevention of unsafe conditions and the assurance that park visitors adhere to rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES : The list below is intended to describe the general nature of duties only. Employee shall perform other duties as assigned.
- Work primarily with the Police Department and assist the Park Operations Department.
- Directs traffic and enforces parking and traffic regulations on park property.
- Answers questions and gives directions to park visitors.
- Advises park visitors of the park rules and regulations relating to park usage.
- Assigns and checks park visitor and user permits.
- Patrols sledding and toboggan hills and other winter sports areas as assigned.
- Patrols hike / bike trails using bicycle and / or motorized vehicle such as moped, scooter, etc.
- Renders first aid and summons medical help when necessary.
- Protects public from emergency hazards.
- Assists in the maintenance of area assigned.
