Role
The Buy-Back Attendant 1 is the first point of contact to greet and purchase from the public their recyclable materials. This is an entry-level position for a person with the required knowledge and abilities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Greet visitors in a positive and courteous manner.
- Receive and weigh recyclable materials, such as glass, aluminum and paper.
- Calculate payment for materials at established prices and provide receipt.
- Maintain proper records of materials and amounts purchased.
- Instruct visitors regarding proper handling and bundling of recyclable materials.
- Perform duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and Recology’s policies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and surrounding area.
- Report problems immediately to supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned
