We are Lockheed Martin
Supporting flight test as a flight controls engineer, the selected candidate will initially work under the guidance of the team with the goal of quickly becoming an independent subject matter expert.
A successful candidate will use their technical experience to develop innovative solutions to highly complex technical problems. Duties and responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and executing flight test mission requirements by :
- Developing and publishing test plans and flight test cards.
- Determining and communicating aircraft test requirements and configuration to responsible engineering, maintenance, instrumentation, and flight operations personnel to ensure aircraft readiness.
- Complying with published test safety plans and standard operating procedures.
- Conducting test missions and performing test mission briefings and debriefings, and meeting qualification requirements.
- Evaluating results from flight activities and incorporating "lessons learned" into future test activities.
- Swing shift, overtime, travel and weekend work may be required to support mission & staffing needs.
A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.
