The Flight Respiratory Therapist is responsible for working with the Flight Nurse in the delivery of advanced critical care to patients of Life Flight Network (LFN). The Flight Respiratory Therapist, working under the supervision of the Flight Nurse, renders patient care in accordance to the guidelines and protocols of LFN. The Respiratory Therapist works varied shifts and must be available to cover call shifts. The Respiratory Therapist may be required to drive personal or company vehicles from time to time when business needs necessitate.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate from an accredited school of respiratory therapy.
• Current RRT licensure or ability to acquire a license in the State of Washington
• Current passport and unrestricted driver’s license
• Five years of critical care RT experience preferably in all patient populations
• EMT certification in home base state required within 6 months of hire
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TPATC or TNCC or PHTLS and BLS are all required
• Emotional stability to function effectively in unpredictable situations
• Problem solving skills and ability to exercise independent judgment and seek guidance when appropriate
