Job Description : Associate Apparel Designer
Overview : Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Apparel Designer to join their team. This role is ideal for a designer with foundational experience in apparel design who is ready to take on greater responsibilities and collaborate with senior designers to create innovative, market-ready products.
4 Days on Site~ Mon - Thursday.
Responsibilities :
- Design and create apparel concepts using Adobe Illustrator
- Develop and maintain comprehensive tech packs in Illustrator
- Size and adjust artwork to ensure alignment with design specifications
- Select Pantone colors and review lab dips for accuracy
- Design and organize labels, trims, and samples
- Communicate design feedback and approvals to factories
- Utilize Excel to manage sample sheets, track progress, and ensure timely completion
- Perform quality checks on samples, including verifying washes and finishes
- Lead design projects involving multiple colorways and prints
- Create stripes, patterns, and other key design elements in Illustrator
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and merchandising, to ensure design concepts meet business needs
- Manage the creation and maintenance of tech packs and oversee the lab dip process, ensuring timely production and accurate execution of designs
