Bishop's Bay Country Club, located on the scenic shores of Lake Mendota in Wisconsin, offers a premier private club experience with a focus on exceptional service and hospitality. The clubhouse, originally built as a private residence in 1929, has been thoughtfully renovated to blend historic charm with modern amenities. Key features include a spacious lakeside patio for outdoor dining, a Tiki Bar, a dedicated outdoor pizza kitchen, and a pavilion that hosts weddings and events for up to 230 guests.
The Food & Beverage team plays a central role in delivering memorable dining experiences, whether through casual lakeside meals, elegant event catering, or poolside service. Interns will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of food and beverage operations while contributing to the club's rich tradition of excellence.
The Food & Beverage Internship at Bishops Bay Country Club offers a dynamic and hands-on opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality industry. As an intern, you will work closely with our Food & Beverage team to deliver exceptional service to our members and guests while gaining valuable insights into the operations of a private country club. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in hospitality, restaurant management, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Support
Assist with the daily operations of the dining rooms, bar, banquet events, and poolside service.
Interact with members and guests to ensure a positive dining experience.
Help coordinate and execute private and club-hosted events, including setup and breakdown.
Work with the Food & Beverage Director on inventory management, ordering, and vendor coordination.
Shadow managers to gain a deeper understanding of leadership and operational strategies.
Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
