Job Description
1 Resource Group is currently hiring for Process Lead in Houston, Texas. This position oversees and coordinates daily production operations within the iron and metal processing facility, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met. This role involves supervising production teams, monitoring workflows, and implementing process improvements to optimize productivity and resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities :
Production Oversight :
Manage daily operations related to the processing, sorting, cutting, and storage of iron and metal materials.
Monitor production schedules and allocate resources to meet output targets.
Ensure equipment is operating efficiently and downtime is minimized.
Team Leadership :
Supervise production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve operational goals.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement :
Analyze production processes and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and best practices.
Safety and Compliance :
Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct safety audits, address hazards, and promote a safety-first culture.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to the handling and recycling of metals.
Quality Control :
Oversee quality checks for processed materials, ensuring they meet customer and industry standards.
Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Reporting and Documentation :
Maintain accurate records of production metrics, equipment maintenance, and process changes.
Prepare reports for management on production performance, efficiency, and improvement initiatives.
Equipment Maintenance Coordination :
Work with the maintenance team to schedule and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs.
Identify equipment upgrades or replacements needed to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications :
Three years of experience in a production or process leadership role, preferably in the iron, steel, or metal recycling industry.
Strong knowledge of metal processing techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
Preferred Skills :
Knowledge of environmental and recycling regulations in the metal industry.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Working Conditions :
Industrial facility with exposure to heavy machinery, noise, heat, and dust.
Requires standing, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
May involve occasional extended hours or shifts.
