Job descriptionCurrently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field. Interest in workplace safety and compliance. Strong communication and organizational skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Willingness to learn and work in a team environment. Previous coursework or experience in safety or related fields. First aid training or certifications are a plus.
Job Summary
CalPortland is seeking a summer in the safety department. This internship provides hands-on experience in workplace safety and compliance.
Compensation
22.00-$26.00 / hr DOE
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting safety inspections and observations.
- Support safety training sessions and orientations for employees.
- Help maintain safety documentation and records.
- Collaborate with team members on safety projects and initiatives.
- Learn and apply workplace safety regulations and best practices.
- Participate in accident investigations and safety audits as needed.
Education
Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Safety or a related field.
