Job DescriptionOur client, a leading beverage company, is currently seeking an accomplished Senior Food Scientist to join the team. Here is an overview of the role : 1) Develop new beverages, including juices, drinks, cocktails, teas, new-age beverages and sauces as well as line extensions2) Manage the development, research, formulation and duplication of new products from conception to shelf3) Perform laboratory and sensory analysis and conduct market product evaluation4) Set ingredient product specifications and prepare final product formulations for testing and approval5) Write and complete detailed accurate reports on analyses, experiments, projects and final product6) Document formula calculations, process and ingredient requirements7) Maintain formula records in QAD8) Attend new product start-ups in the plant locations9) Coordinate directly with the Purchasing Team on sourcing new ingredients10) Recommend new suppliers, get required documentation from suppliers and follow up with suppliers on quality issues11) Coordinate with the Regulatory and Food Safety Team on desired claims, call outs and any new ingredients12) Train other scientists on flavor development and give constructive input and feedback at group tastings13) Recommend next steps for improvement14) Perform organizational tasks, such as processing standards management, maintaining laboratory inventory and processing guide changes15) Analyze sensory results and perform yearly sensory training for corporate and plants16) Handle customer innovation sessions with the Sales and Marketing Team17) Learn and master the product development process and technology18) Reformulate current products19) Evaluate and test new ingredients20) Perform other duties as assignedCritical Requirements1) A university degree is required.
