Salary : $50,000 - $55,000 based on experience
DIRECT CARE MANAGER
DEPARTMENT : ICF Program
PURPOSE : Coordinates and supervises individuals services in both residences. Provides supervision and direction to supervisors on all 3 shifts.
JOB FUNCTIONS :
Maintains compliance with local, state and federal regulations and standards. Posts notices of shift open hours and assigns staff as necessary to fill the work schedules created by position vacancies, staff call-offs, vacations, or other leaves of absence.
Completes bi-weekly payroll
Performs CPR and Standard First Aid when necessary.
Conducts staff meetings.
Conducts performance reviews.
Interviews and recommends hiring direct support professionals.
Provides corrective action when necessary.
May assist with admission, discharge and / or transfer of individuals in the residential and respite programs. Assists with assuring accuracy and completeness of Census Log.
Activates the alarms for fire drills on 1st shift and ensures the frequencies occur for the fire drills as mandated by state and federal regulations.
Attends education in-service programs. Conducts staff in services to educate staff and assure proper procedures are followed, including New Staff Orientation. Participates as an instructor in certification / in-service programs when needed.
The position will be split evenly between 20-floor hours and 20-office hours per week.
EDUCATION :
Bachelors Degree in human services or management preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Previous supervisory / management experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal skills
Experience writing performance evaluations (with goals and objectives) preferred
Interviewing experience preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience preferred in direct care services to adults with IDD
Valid drivers license
UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS :
Must be available to work in emergency situations
would be required to work every other weekend
on -call every 4 weeks, which would be for one week at a time
May be exposed to infectious diseases and behaviorally aggressive individuals.
