Job description

Directional Drill Foreman

Ultimate LLC is immediately hiring Directional Drill Operators / Foremen  for projects in the Midwest. The pay range for Operators is $25-30 per hour based on experience. The majority of our position’s hours range from 45 to 75 hours a week. Directional Drill Operator applicants must have a personal vehicle and be prepared for work up to 40+ hours a week. Ultimate LLC provides weekly pay for all operators with no week in the hole.

Ultimate Drill Operator responsibilities

  • Work on horizontal directional drilling projects of all sizes.
  • Pre-walk and white line projects.
  • Load, unload and transport construction materials, machines and tools.
  • Safely and efficiently operate tools and equipment based on job requirements.
  • Verify location of existing utilities and adjust route as necessary based on job specifications and easement requirements.
  • Ability to determine proper drilling fluid additives for specific soil types and conditions. Assist with job site clean-up.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to work as a team with others and assist in training new hires.

Ultimate Drill Operator requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to travel weekly, up to two weeks or more at a time
  • Class A CDL or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment
  • Education in Gas and / or Utilities Construction (preferred)
  • Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables (preferred)
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
