Position Responsibilities :
The Department of Forensic Science in the College of Humanities andSciences at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of applicantsfor the summer of the 2024-2025 academic year for possible adjunct teaching positions. TheDepartment of Forensic Science will contact persons in the pool whosecredentials match our teaching needs in any given semester. This pool will beaccessed only when an opening arises. Your credentials will remain active onceyou have applied, though if you teach in only one semester of each academicyear, new hire paperwork may be required prior to a contract being issued ineach year.
Required Qualifications :
M.S. IN FORENSIC SCIENCE, A NATURAL SCIENCE, OR A CLOSELY-RELATED DISCIPLINE. INLIEU OF A DEGREE, EQUIVALENT YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN ADISCIPLINE. IN LIEU OF A DEGREE, EQUIVALENT YEARS OF EXPERIENCEIN A FORENSIC SCIENCE LABORATORY DISCIPLINE WILL BE CONSIDERED. STRONGORAL PRESENTATION AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
Preferred Qualifications :
M.S. OR PH.D. IN FORENSIC SCIENCE OR A NATURAL SCIENCE AT THE TIME THEAPPOINTMENT BEGINS. PRIOR TEACHING EXPERIENCE IS STRONGLY PREFERRED
