Job Title : Forklift Operator - Weekly Pay

Job Description

Our client is a custom corrugated packaging leader in the Midwestern United States, producing custom boxes for companies in the Midwest. We are seeking a skilled forklift operator to join our team. The successful candidate will work off Amtech systems, use a scanner, handle bar codes and tickets, and complete inventory tasks. The role involves operating a smaller sit-down forklift to load and unload trucks or move products around the production floor.

Responsibilities

Operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trucks

Move products around the production floor

Work off Amtech systems

Use a scanner to handle bar codes and tickets

Complete inventory tasks

Essential Skills

6 months of forklift experience

High School diploma

Experience with bar codes and scanners

Ability to lift and move products

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience using RF scan guns

Experience with pallet jacks

General labor skills

Work Environment

The work environment can get hot in the summer due to the lack of air conditioning. The production floor has about 20 people. The dress code requires candidates to wear steel toe boots, and the company will provide shirts. The hours are from 3 : 30 PM to 1 : 00 AM, Monday to Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr.
