Forklift Mechanic

Overview

Join our dynamic team in Fontana, CA, as a Forklift Mechanic! We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual who is passionate about keeping our fleet of forklifts in top-notch condition. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of forklifts to ensure smooth operations in our facility. If you enjoy working with your hands and have a knack for problem-solving, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

  • This is NOT a Forklift Operator position, this is a Forklift Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic Position

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and related equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency.
  • Order and manage parts inventory as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal teams and stakeholders.

    • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics preferred.
  • Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
