What this job involves : The Operating Engineer is responsible for operations & maintenance of building systems and equipment as part of the Facility Maintenance & Operations Team. This role handles routine and emergency plant operations, requiring general knowledge of industry maintenance practices and the ability to work independently.

What your day-to-day will look like :

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and adjust equipment to minimize service interruptions and downtime
• Execute maintenance and repair work for boilers, HVAC equipment, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and building infrastructure
• Perform complex operating procedures for high pressure steam boilers, lab utilities, emergency generators, and fire pumps
• Monitor water chemistry in various systems and make necessary adjustments
• Maintain mechanical spaces for safety and housekeeping to be audit-ready
• Respond to emergencies, identify problems, and take corrective actions
• Review and complete work orders, logs, and documentation in the BMS CMMS
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and JLL policies

Base salary range : $64,000.00 + OT hours per year : 208 hours. For the minimum salary ($64,000) : Regular hourly rate : $30.77 / hr. (based on 2,080 hours per year) OT hourly rate (1.5x) : $46.16 / hr. Annual OT value : 208 hrs. $46.16 = $9,601.28 Total minimum compensation : $64,000 + $9,601.28 = $73,601.28
