Description
Front Desk Responsibilities
This position is going to be mainly the 3-11pm shift
Operate the hotel bar during designated hours while managing front desk responsibilities
Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly and in compliance with TABC regulations
Maintain TABC certification and uphold all alcohol service laws and safety procedures
Answers all internal and external calls in a prompt, efficient, and friendly manner
Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
Check guests in and out efficiently, using the hotel's reservation system- FOSSE
Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with a focus on excellent customer service
Handles cash and balances at closing of each shift.
Process payments, issue room keys, and provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and market stocked.
Ensures common area / lobby is clean
Communicate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
Monitor guest accounts and ensure accurate billing
Promotes hotel services, facilities, and outlets and becomes informed and knowledgeable of upcoming events / functions in the hotel and in the surrounding area.
Answers guest's questions about the property and amenities and are able to refer and direct guests to area attractions and outlets. Arranges for the appropriate transportation of guests to and from the hotel when necessary.
Uses creative reasoning to overcome guest objections and concerns and to ensure 100% satisfaction.
Resolves minor guest complaints to the satisfaction of the customer; informs supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or unhappy guests.
Respond quickly to guest requests or complaints in a friendly manner and appropriate action is taken. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain security and confidentiality of guest information
Follow all hotel policies and standard operating procedures
Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
