About The Position
Job Title : Respiratory Care Therapist Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty : RRT Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 2 years minimum License : State Licensed Certifications : CRT, RRT Must-Have : - All respiratory modalities and equipment Description : Position available for a Respiratory Care Therapist. Shift consists of three 12-hour night shifts. Work settings include adult critical care and emergency department. Skills required include airway management devices and suctioning. Experience with endotracheal tube suctioning, extubation, and intubation assistance is necessary. Knowledge of nasal airway placement and oropharyngeal suctioning is required. Candidates should be experienced in pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection. Care for patients with conditions such as ARDS, aspiration, COVID, and pneumonia is expected. Medication administration experience with albuterol, atrovent, and inhaled steroids is essential. Knowledge of aerosol setup and nebulizer types is required. Experience with oxygen therapy, including high flow nasal cannula and portable oxygen tanks, is necessary. Candidates should have ventilator management experience, including BiPAP and CPAP. ABG interpretation and chest physiotherapy skills are required. Direct intubation, bronchoscopy, and ECMO experience are preferred. Candidates must be available to work weekends. Compliance with all state and national certification requirements is mandatory. References from the past year are required from previous supervisors or charge nurses. Modules and orientations are part of the onboarding process. Floating may be required between departments as needed. All candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent specialty experience. Please note that a drug screening will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
