We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a meticulous Staff Accountant in COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado. The job function revolves around providing substantial support to our finance department, specifically in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. This role is vital in the financial stability and growth of our organization.

Responsibilities :

• Perform daily accounting tasks to maintain the financial health of the organization
• Manage the process of sending invoices and ensuring bill payments
• Conduct bi-weekly accounts payable check issuance
• Highly skilled at conducting month end closes.
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations for primary and investment accounts
• Handle approximately 20-30 journal entries per month and manage bank statements
• Assist in providing necessary information for audit processes
• Problem solver
• Oversee automatic withdrawals by large vendors.
• Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.
• Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations and managing General Ledger.
• Aptitude for preparing and reviewing Journal Entries.
• Experience in Month End Close procedures.
• Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software is a plus.
• Knowledge of Oracle financial software is desirable.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
