Property Accountant | Kansas City Metro Area
LHH is partnering with a client who is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant. As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our property portfolio. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and provide valuable insights to support property management decisions. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for real estate finance. Our ideal candidate would have an Accounting or Business Administration Degree, along with at least 3+ years of accounting experience within the Commercial / Industrial Real Estate Industry.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and update financial records for multiple properties.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts specific to property management.
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis for properties.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable for property-related transactions.
- Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support internal and external audits related to property finances.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve property performance.
