Key Responsibilities :
Create and modify detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
Develop CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Microvellum) based on 3D models and manufacturing requirements.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure accurate translation of concepts and specifications.
Review and verify design drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Optimize designs for manufacturability and efficiency in production.
Maintain an organized digital file structure and document revision control.
Troubleshoot and resolve design and programming issues related to fabrication and machining.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on technical improvements and innovations.
Qualifications :
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
2+ years of experience in 3D drafting and CNC programming, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
Solid understanding of machining processes, GD&T, and materials.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with 3D printing or additive manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with ERP or PLM systems.
Experience in sheet metal, plastics, or precision machining environments.
Knowledge of programming languages such as G-code or post-processing customization.
