Servicing Agent – Collector

We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Collector to join our Fintech team and help us redefine the auto lending industry with kindness, innovation, and integrity.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a high-performing Collector who brings focus, professionalism, and a strong sense of accountability. This role goes beyond collecting payments, it’s about executing with precision, supporting customers with empathy, and operating within a structured, compliant environment.

You’ll manage accounts, communicate with borrowers, and resolve delinquencies using strong listening, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Consistency matters, you’ll be expected to follow SOPs, uphold compliance standards, and help improve our systems through thoughtful insight.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound and outbound communications with customers regarding past-due accounts
  • Resolve delinquencies through payment arrangements, follow-ups, and account management tools
  • Maintain accurate records, follow SOPs, and notate accounts with clarity and professionalism
  • Uphold regulatory and internal compliance standards in every interaction
  • Escalate issues as needed while maintaining ownership of resolution
  • Provide clear, respectful, and compliant support to reinforce a customer-first experience
  • Support implementation of policy updates and system enhancements by staying informed and adaptable
  • Identify and communicate process, compliance, or customer experience gaps

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of collections experience in consumer lending, auto finance, or a related industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, grammar, tone, and professionalism are essential
  • Proven ability to follow processes and uphold compliance requirements
  • High attention to detail and documentation
  • Persuasive and empathetic, able to resolve conflict while maintaining trust
  • Technically confident, comfortable learning and using internal tools
  • Thrives in a structured, high-performance environment
  • Nice to Have

  • 3–5 years of collections experience, preferably in subprime auto finance
  • Experience in skip tracing, bankruptcy, or recovery
  • Familiarity with FDCPA, TCPA, and CFPB regulations
  • Experience with tools like LoanPro, Twilio, or similar systems
  • Startup or early-stage experience, or the mindset to take ownership and adapt to evolving workflows
  • History of being a top performer in previous roles
