Description

We are searching for a knowledgeable Gas Transmission Inspector based in New York. Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years of prior experience and knowledge in areas such as excavation, road / utility construction, gas installations, plastic pipe installation, welding, and steel pipe fitting. Additionally, two (2) years of hands-on experience on Gate Stations and Regulator stations is also required. Applicants must demonstrate excellent organizational skills in order to fill out paperwork, maps, and other documents in a timely matter with precise comprehension of construction-related measurements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure welding and non-destructive testing are performed per company procedures.
• Must pass and maintain OQ training required for working on and around underground and above-ground transmission pressure mains.
• May be required to oversee multiple construction projects at varying stages at one time (from designing, including cost estimating to completing final folder close out).
• Provide oversight and guidance to gas and associate inspectors.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, maps, plans, specifications, and procedures. Must possess the ability to keep accurate and detailed field records including daily job reports, material usage and locations, and field test records.
• Required to inspect work performed by construction contractors and supervise, assuring adherence to specifications, proper work methods, and appropriate use of facilities and equipment.
