Job description5+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Risk Reporting. Proven experience gathering accounting requirements for system implementations. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience working with accounting systems and subledger / general ledger ecosystems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and collaborate across departments. Experience with multi-currency general ledger systems. Familiarity with big data, cloud platforms, or data query tools. Hands-on involvement in the full lifecycle of accounting application implementations (requirements, testing, training, deployment). Experience in large-scale financial or banking system transformations.
Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced Accounting Transformation Lead to support the development of a new centralized Corporate Accounting Engine. This role is not technology-focused but requires a strong accounting background and the ability to lead discussions with controllers and finance stakeholders to gather and document high-quality accounting requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead discovery sessions with Group Controllers and accounting stakeholders to document current-state accounting flows and systems.
- Gather and document detailed accounting requirements to inform the design of a new centralized accounting engine.
- Act as a liaison between finance / accounting and technology teams to ensure alignment of business needs and technical implementation.
- Develop and execute test strategies, including writing and running test scripts.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and peers.
- Support strategic planning and implementation of accounting transformation initiatives across multiple business lines.
- Identify and manage risk and compliance requirements related to accounting systems.
