We foster a collaborative, high-energy workplace where employees are respected, supported, and given room to grow. We’re now seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead one of our flagship dealerships and help drive performance, profitability, and culture.
Position : General Manager
Location : Key Cars Auto Group — Multiple Dealership Locations in Connecticut
What We’re Looking For :
An experienced and results-driven Automotive General Manager with :
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Manager in a franchised automotive dealership
10+ years of total automotive retail experience , with deep operational knowledge
Proven ability to oversee and grow Sales, Service, Parts, and Finance departments
Strong understanding of net profit optimization , financial statement analysis , and dealership performance metrics
Expertise in the used car market , including sourcing, reconditioning, pricing, and turn
A leadership approach that builds strong teams, promotes accountability, and supports a customer-first culture
Background in process improvement , customer retention , and digital retailing is a plus
Key Responsibilities :
Lead day-to-day dealership operations across all departments
Drive sales volume, service absorption, and overall profitability
Analyze monthly financial statements and ensure all key metrics are met or exceeded
Hire, train, and retain top-performing team members
Develop and implement business strategies to increase market share and customer loyalty
Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, lenders, and community partners
Ensure all activities are compliant with brand standards and regulatory requirements
Represent the dealership in the community through events and outreach
