Job Title : AccountantJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills with a focus on financial reporting and data analysis. This role requires collaboration across departments to ensure precise financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare, maintain, and develop schedules, reports, and analyses for internal and external customers.
• Assist with the monthly close process.
• Perform month-end activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Communicate and coordinate with company partners.
• Process and analyze significant amounts of data, including issues and transactions.
• Prepare and review FERC Form 3Q and Form 2 filings, as well as XBRL tagging.
• Provide documentation and clear explanations for audit processes.
• Participate in small projects with minimal mentorship and act as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence from Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. The role is based in a large oil & gas company in Houston. The work environment promotes cross-functional communication and collaboration, with a strong emphasis on safety and effective teamwork.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00 / hr.
