Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in accounting or a related role. Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and organizational abilities. CPA or working towards CPA certification. Experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks. Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Experience in financial analysis and reporting. Accountant
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting financial decision-making. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial statements, reconciling accounts, and optimizing accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Process journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and other financial reviews.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial reporting and decision-making.
- Preference for a full CPA, preferably with prior experience in bookkeeping for restaurants, or, if not, experience working for a large multinational accounting firm.
