General maintenance technician Jobs in USA

Libertyville School District 70 is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our facilities. The position is under the Director of Facilities and Operations, and is a full time, 12-month, 260-day position. The schedule is Tuesday to Saturday from 8 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m. and the work is in-person. The benefit package includes 12 sick and 2 personal days, 10 vacation days, medical, dental and life insurance, and a 457 account contribution. Vision insurance and Flex plan are available options. Salary of $37,000 - $47,000 will be commensurate with experience and skills.

Qualifications :

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• General knowledge of all trades, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC.
• Ability read blueprints and follow written / oral instructions.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under time constraints.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Capable of working independently with little or no supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, and the community.
